Today the Association has adopted the goal of improving the political representation of women and their access to decision making. This decision is part of preparations for the coming elections in June 2009. Thus, following the work done by the ADFM under the Movement for the Third on the community charter and the electoral code, this movement is working on the dimensions of the media and political participation of women. What are the messages conveyed by the media regarding women in politics? What women have access to political news? What images are transmitted? How can the media promote women’s political participation? These are some issues to be discussed at the seminar by representatives of the media, elected officials and political candidates.

It should be noted that this activity falls within the framework of a project to strengthen the capacity of women candidates in the 2009 elections in partnership with the European Union. Casablanca, February 9th 2009
