Reforming Laws and public policies
Announcement : The Movement “A Third Now… Parity Next”
 |
The current parliament is discussing in its Fall session a plan to reform the election code at a time when the political scene has witnessed several critically important events immediately relevant to women’s citizenship |
ADFM a force of proposal and advocacy
| Since it was created, the ADFM never stopped mobilization for the reform of laws that identified as a strategic axe and a powerful means to institutionalize equality. |
Nationality Code
| The ADFM leaded a campaign in partnership with a network of human rights and women’s rights associations (regional network: to transmit my nationality is my children’s right), at a national level as well as at a regional one, from 2001 to March 2007 in order to make the Moroccan government review the nationality code as promulgated in 1958, which deprived children who are born from Moroccan women and foreigners from the nationality of their mothers. |
Family code (Moudawana)
| The ADFM has chosen as a main objective to settle the amendments proposed by the women’s movement on the Moudawana. |
Reinforcement of the principle of equality between men and women in the educational system
| The reform of the educational system is one of the principal concerns of the ADFM : the educational firm is an extremely delicate question as it concerns construction of citizens. |
